There are a lot of things going on in the Belgian Digital Health scene. We’ve bundled the key events from the past week here:
- On Monday Belgian Startup Epihunter kicked off its Indiegogo campaign on the International Epilepsy Day. Epihunter is developing a solution to make epileptic absence seizures visible. Check out the coverage Epihunter received from VRT here (NL).
- On Monday as well, RIZIV announced that the long awaited e-prescription application PARIS is available. PARIS is targeted at occasional prescribers without an EMR and specialists outside of the hospital. Read more about PARIS here (NL) or here (FR).
- On Tuesday J&J announced that it will open a JLabs site in Belgium. JLabs is an incubator that will host up to 30 life science startups. J&J already has a number of JLabs incubators all over the world with the one in Beerse being the first one in Europe.
- On Friday Maggie De Block announced the launch of an mHealth validation pyramid to guarantee the quality and safety of medical apps. Read more about it here (NL) or here (FR).
We also enjoyed seeing our #BeHealth influencers top 100 featured on the front page of Artsenkrant on Friday 😉
